A "How it works" book, not a "How to do it" book.:

I was looking for a book that would help me organize my finances using Quicken 2000. If you are looking for a "How to" book, this book is not for you. This book simply describes the functions of Quicken 2000 without going into a lot of detail about why, when, or how you should organize your finances.
Regardless, this book is well written and is easier to access and read than the online manual.

Superseded Book:

This book was moderately useful in handling routine issues, but anything advanced, especially technical glitches, were not even mentioned. Superseded by the 2001 version.

Book that should have been shipped with the software.....:

Quicken 2000 utilizes the Internet in more ways than one to help you gain control of your finances and make more informed financial decisions. I speak as a novice Quicken user. Suddenly, as the result of a family crisis, I had to use Quicken right away and get competent fast.
