This is a great book for me. I can read along & the pixs are really clear--so is the writing. I've been using photoshop professionally for 10+ years but i've never had a book that is so helpful with all the stuff i never did get about photoshop, like, clipping masks, layers, transform tools, how to integrate a COLLAGE. So great! I don't have to go searching for the book cover pix i need anymore, I just MAKE IT myself. Amazing. Hundreds of hours are saved! The index WORKS. Couldn't recommend this book... more info
Fun, colorful and super-useful:
This book has 15 chapters, all of them with fun-to-read / easy-to-follow info. Like the rest of the books from this series, all chapters and 'key strokes' are color-coded (a huge plus), every example is detailed with graphics and step by step instructions. Getting lost on this is literally impossible. It also has tons of cool tips you'll love to read. Pages are glossy and print quality is just excellent. The last chapter "Working for print and the Web" was particularly useful because I sometimes need... more info
Fun tutorials....:
I had fun with some of the tutorials.....not the best photoshop book, but still ....the .psd files provided on the accompanying CD's helped my nephew a lot.
Great book, but.....:
I thought I had enough understanding of Photoshop, after completing Adobe's 'Classroom in a Book for Photoshop' to be able to work through Steve Caplin's book, 'How to Cheat in Photoshop', but I got stuck on too many pages. Steve assumes that you know how to achieve the steps to accomplish his projects. It took me hours hunting through help and photoshop bible to sometimes perform the simplest task. I think this book is going to be awesome, but I have temporarily set it aside and I am working through Derek... more info
