Good book which truly aims to measure executive contribution. All managers should read this so that they can manage their work better and also set useful, realistic benchmarks for their subordinates. Far too many managers today are too caught up in their own world today.

If you have an interest in nonprofit organizations and governance, I highly recommend this book. It provides theory and application of tools that can be utilized in any organization. Easy to read and to apply.
In this short book are some of the most trenchant, clearly-written statements on how to be an effective executive ever written. It contains some philosophical statements, more real-world examples, and most importantly, it details actions the executive can take to become immediately effective.
