This is more than an exceptional strategy guide. Everything in it, from hints and solutions to the reasoning behind the strategy, is impeccably presented. DeMaria invokes the spirit of the game with his descriptions, keeping both the eeriness and the fun. Two big extras, though, make this book especially enjoyable for 7th Guest fans. There's a copy of the game's entire original script (so that's how the story goes when everything happens in order) and an interview with masterminds Graham Devine and Rob Landeros, who take you behind the scenes.

Unnecessary:
Don't waste your money. The point of a "puzzle" game is to solve the puzzles using your brainpower. Strategy guides in general are more helpful for strategy-style games (SimCity, etc). In this case, itis just giving you solutions.
Besides, it's not really necessary. The Game is NOT that hard to play. Anybody who says you'd have to "devote your life to it" must not be trying very hard at all. I completed the game in a reasonable time span and still replay it from time to time.

This book is one of the best I have ever seen. I only wished I had picked it up when I still had the chance. If you plan on playing the 7th guest and not having this book right at your side.....I hope you are planning on devoting your life to this game...cause it will take you that long.
